BigAl
Derek Adams punted by the consortium that have taken over at Morecombe and to add salt into his wounds he has now been replaced by a 30 year old who has never managed at first team level. Bet he now wishes he had stuck in a bit more whilst at County and didn't burn his bridges when leaving. His replacement Ashvir Singh Johal becomes the first Sikh to take charge of a professional British club as a result of his appointment. 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/60/#findComment-268098

Seems to be suggestions in English press that although Amorim has backing of the board that he is considering resigning so might not be that far fetched. Jute
Nottingham Forrest become first club to sack manager this season in premier league. Surprised this didn’t happen over the summer as Espírito Santo’s relationship with the nut job owner seemed to have completely broken down. Jute
Ange Postecoglou appointed at Forrest. I can see his relationship with their crackpot owner being as interesting as the previous managers was. swaddon
I was just looking at a list of Chelsea's managers there. I forgot most of them from the last decade or so. I also didn't know Ian Porterfield was manager there, or Geoff Hurst. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3330-managers-in-england/page/60/#findComment-274679

You're right that it's a huge step up though and would be a huge gamble. Rosenior (who I did find very impressive when he spoke and not just because he blew a shit ton of smoke up the dons arse) probably needs a successful stint at a club of say Fiorentina's sort of size and stature before he's going to be ready for a club the size of Chelsea. They did, but I wasn't overly impressed with them. The individual class of their players was evident, but expected more from them as a team. Strasbourg are owned by the same lot that own Chelsea, so possibly some sort of shyte going on with them. If I was a Chelsea fan, and thank goodness I'm not, I wouldn't be overly chuffed about appointing a sacked Derby and Hull manager. Those kind of appointments rarely work out.
