The assumption being that your supersoaker teenage years automatically mean you become Dirty Harry/ a fully trained sniper the moment you touch an actual gun? You need an ID, background check, permit, conceal carry permit if you intend to carry, many states require gun training and safety courses. Florida has a three day waiting period while they do a background check, California for example has a ten day waiting period.
