Most folk try and do a dry January but not me as impossible not to indulge on New Years Day or Burns Day. Instead I am going to go for the month of February. Only positive I have come up with so far is that it contains three days less than the first month of the year. I've always liked whisky but didn't really touch it for 20/25 years until 10 years ago. A bottle would last 12/18 months in our hoose. When I discovered a new vintner, he offered me a taste of Bruichladdich XVII and I bought a bottle. I bought 5 bottles of it in 5 months but probably overdid it, not that you can get it anymore but it was that that switched my whisky light back on. A mate bought me a couple of special edition Bruichladdichs 2 or 3 years ago but I felt bad returning them to him because they were wasted on me, very dark and peaty and not my taste at all.
