Terror at Westminster?

Seems some nutter has stormed the Palace of Westminster, stabbed a policeman before getting shot dead.  Sky news also saying the pedestrians on Westminster Bridge have been targeted by someone in a vehicle.  1 death confirmed (think it's the knifeman).

Seems that way. Seems like two separate attacks. Although the knife attacker was a bit daft. Wasn't going to get very far stabbing a policeman when all entrances are pretty heavily armed. Hopefully the one death is just him.

Seemingly the same vehicle used in both attacks and the knife man isn't the dead person......yet, looks like there's been a fair bit of carnage on the bridge.

It all looks very hectic but from what the news folk are saying it is just one idiot running folk down on the bridge before ramming the gates outside westminster palace and then trying to get in to the building before being shot.  Never been to London but surely it would mostly be tourists on the bridge?  Hopefully no one there too seriously hurt.

You get loads of tourists on that bridge but also quite a few folk work in and around the area. BBC had a reporter who'd spoken to a group of French school kids who were on the bridge. Sounds like chaos.

Yes seems folk have had to jump off the bridge to avoid the 4x4 being driven on the pavement.  What a cowardly thing to do.  Also saying that there is a suspicious package in said 4x4.

 

Didn't know police still carried whistles.

Apparently this is the attacker being carried in to an ambulance.  Distinctive looking style of beard.... just saying.

Im imagining the Police at the gates were normal police and the ones actually in the compound area had guns as a second policeman in high vis had to go get help, then abdul went after them and the gunfire started. There was no mention of gunfire on the bridge that I heard of? Maybe the lady you seen heard the gunfire from the Palace of Westminster when the police took out the nutter while she was on the bridge?

You would have been able to hear the gun shots from the bridge, she probably so people falling over with blood at the same time.  The gate that the guy would have come through (press / passholder) is only guarded by up to 3 unarmed guys with the armed officers once you're in the ground.  Certainly the case when i've ever been there.  I'd imagine he pushed past whilst stabbing the police officer.
