manc_don
Djokovic was absolutely astounding. Fully deserved victory, but as you say brownybrown, shite weekend of sport Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-103534
RDU_64
Murray currently on course for the 'Montgomerie Award' of being one of the finest players of his generation never to win a major championship. CtS
Fucking bottler. I wonder if he's any good in goals? Ach he's still got some time on his side, but you've got to think he wont get many better chances than today to pick up a GS. caledonia
Shit but in all honesty the other player was as good as Sonoftherock says he would be. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-103596
Tyrant
I only saw the first set because I had stuff to do but Murray and Djokovic were closely matched and I was convinced it was going to go down to a tie break. Not to be! I now have doubts that he'll ever win one because it's likely to be years and years before he gets a chance as good as that. And sporting careers are short. Kowalski
I'm not convinced by this "that was his best chance" talk. He'd have had just as good a chance, if not better, if it was Federer he was playing in the final. Djokovic is on fire at the moment and he and Murray know each others' games far too well. BobbyBiscuit
the difference in Djokovic and Murray is that Djokovic is able to produce top level tennis consistently for the whole match, something that Murray seems incapable of at the moment; he's up and down with his game within one match never mind just within a tournament. tsr
Think the difference was that Murray started on fire in the tournament, he was done by the 4th round where as Djokovic had so much more to give. Murray is a great player Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-103665
Kowalski
Monte Carlo Masters Semi v Nadal is on Sky Sports 3 this afternoon: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/13101650.stm Expected to be on at around 2pm. Kowalski
A brutal match but Murray is storming the second set. Looks like it'll go to a third. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-107368
manc_don
Live on BBC now http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/9501131.stm Come on Murray! Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109105
Azteca1903
Through. I wonder how much that match will have taken out of him though. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109107
Tyrant
Well he certainly did it the hard way there! I think mentaly it will have done more good than harm. It will be a confidence booster to have looked beaten so often during a match and still winning it. Physically he may have gotten off lightly because as far as 5 setters go it was far from brutal. And played over 2 days of course. He'll need to try and make light work of Chela. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109108
Kowalski
Got a great chance of getting to the semi now. And I don't think Nadal is by any means a shoe-in to win his quarter. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109122
Goldie03
And i have sneaked a day off tomorrow so I can watch it live Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109164
glasgow sheep
Sorry to disappoint you all but as I have an afternoon off I will probably be watching Andy's game which means he will lose and be knocked out the French Open Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109221

Tyrant
He's making a meal of this. He certainly did. I think he's bitten off more than he can chew with Nadal though! I can see it being one of the most one-sided semi finals ever. 6-0 6-2 7-5 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109266
manc_don
Nadal's form hasn't been the best this year though has it? I'd be more concerned if it was Djokovic. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109272
amp
I think it will be close between Nadal and Murray. Quite simply, Nadal doesn't have the edge on clay against opponents that he used to have. Injuries are taking their toll on him, and the rest of the field is getting better all the time. Provided Murray is 100% fit, I think he will take this in a decider or 3-1. Madbadteacher
Nadal must be happy. According to the BBC webside Murray's win set up a Nadal semi! Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/9315-andy-murray/page/22/#findComment-109300
