Looking at the positives, there's a couple of potentially decent away days there in the height of summer.

Arbroath, Cove, Kelty Hearts & Buckie Thistle for me Geoff.

Far better than a trip to Croatia or Cyprus.

Need a few quality signings before I'd feel even remotely confident of coming through that group unscathed

Let's be honest we're going to be a big scalp given it's our first time of actually starting out at this stage since the tournament was revamped.

When did we last play Stirling Albion? Must be a while ago. Be quite a tight schedule in that early part of the season, we should probably consider rotating the squad a little for that Raith game.

Think we played Stirling in Scottish and league cup in late 90s and not since. 2-0 wins both times.

Not a single Saturday game in league cup.

 

Trying to make Peterhead on a Sunday from central belt will be fun as will getting to Stirling from Aberdeen on a Tuesday night.

Two TV games for starters plus we are idle on one weekend. Wonder if Dons will arrange a friendly for weekend of 16th July.
