TheDonbytheDee
A year ago today, Oday Dabbagh scored a last minute winner, in extra time, that saw us beat the diet huns 2-1 at Hampden in the semi final. I still like to reading about how Hearts were the supposed better team that day. A fucking great bounce when that one went in. 2 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3927-on-this-day/page/14/#findComment-282604
BigAl
Those of us fortunate enough to be there will never forget Miller turning away in celebration and running in celebration in front of the South Stand. Bizarrely though I'd forgot just how baltic it actually was for the time of year. Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3927-on-this-day/page/14/#findComment-282933
TheDonbytheDee
On this day in 1984, Stewart McKimmie scored his first Aberdeen goal, in a 1-0 win, down at Tynecastle, which saw us clinch the league title. It would have been Willie Millers 29th Birthday too, with the great man turning 71 years young today. Happy Birthday Willie. 2 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3927-on-this-day/page/14/#findComment-283204

Of course I remember it, but wasn't allowed to the fitba until 1987, so never experienced a title winning campaign in the flesh and likely never will. Certainly was In fairness May 1980 was even more special as it was the first time I was to witness us win the league. I even went to the game sober in order to ensure I remembered every moment. By the time the May '84 one came around, dare I say it, it was becoming routine to win things Far more drink involved in the '84 one though 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3927-on-this-day/page/14/#findComment-283208

Asked the Doctor, a few days before he died, when he was getting out, as he had a game at Pittodrie to attend at the weekend. AFC was his whole life. 1 Quote Link to comment https://dev.donstalk.co.uk/topic/3927-on-this-day/page/14/#findComment-283283
