I'm just looking at the qualification tables there. Sweden are bottom of their group with one point, but could still make the World Cup Finals through the play-offs because of the Nations League.

Disappointed in yesterday. We showed enough to prove we are capable, but where has that been in recent games. Feel like Clarke and Scotland are where we were with Mcinnes and Aberdeen. He’s given us respectability again but we are well past our peak and he’s passed his sell by date. Late subbing lacked imagination to say the least. Problem is, the next guy isn’t guaranteed to be successful as we’ve seen with glass Goodwin Robson and jimmy. It’s flat, stale, and old, and for the most part, a pretty poor watch. Change is needed.

belarus delayed the inevitable. Nothing suggests we can play a full game against a decent side these days. Hope to be proven wrong and we are going mental on Tuesday.

Current play off pots as things stand. 

There is still the possibility we could drop to pot 3 if certain results go against us and mean we face an away game in first round. 
 

Just need to win and let Denmark worry about the play offs.

I would say winning at home v Denmark is probably an easier prospect than winning away to any of those Pot 1 teams, except maybe Ukraine.

Aye. Both Sweden and the Italians are shite just now, so wouldn't be as bad as a couple of the alternatives.

Nerves are really setting in for this now, bet I'm absolutely no use whatsoever in work tomorrow . 

No idea what to expect, the Danes may well be a bit rattled after bottling it or they may be really pissed off and highly motivated.  Regardless though we need to be on it from the off.  It would be nice if we actually look like a team that wants to go to the WC and not the limp dicked dawdling around the park of the first 43 minutes against Greece.

We get pumped in the play-offs, then we can only watch on next summer as Trump hands over the World Cup trophy to England's funny looking captain Harry Kane.

I took day off as knew there was fuck all chance of me concentrating at work, Denmark hopefully a bit deflated after blowing chance to clinch the group on Saturday. I would bring in McKenna for Hanley as think that gives us better shape. Would like to try and get more width in the team but not sure how we go about that with squad we have. Freezing here this morning and might need full artic gear for tonight.

Thankfully I work at home so no-one can see me pulling my hair out in anticipation.  

I don't care who's running America.  If Scotland go, I go!  I'm not far shy of 47 years old and this is really the first and last opportunity (couldn't afford France back in 98 as I needed to save for uni) I have to go to a wc to support my country whilst still being just about young enough to rough it a bit if needed.

Do or die in my view tonight.  This match will define the Clarke era, we will either play the match of our lives or go out with a whimper.  I don't see us winning two play off ties against sides like Wales, Sweden, Ireland or the rest.  I think this is the best chance.  A night for experience, leave Doak on the bench and bring him on with 30 left if we need a goal.  But we need to be aggressive as fuck, I'd let the players watch the first leg of our play off against Holland when McFadden scored because we scared the shite out of Holland with our approach that day albeit we got humped in the second leg. A night for quick direct fitba and get Dykes smashing the life out of their defence.
